The Real Talk Show
Hey everyone! This heat wave is crazy, I hope that you’re all enjoying your Summer and keeping cool! This week I found a new love, the new talk show on FOX called ‘The Real’. I’m sure that I’m not the only person that has fallen in love with the show along with the cast. If you haven’t been watching, let me tell you about what you’ve been missing!
The hosts of the show are Tamera Mowry-Housley, Tamar Braxton, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love and Adrienne Bailon. I was a fan of all of these women separately. I wasn’t too familiar with Ms. Loni Love but after watching the show I feel like I’ve known her since forever! I’m a fan of her’s now.
Like most people, I grew up watching Tamera on Sister Sister. I’ve always thought that she was so beautiful. Now a days I watch her on her reality show with Tia, and now I can add ‘The Real’ to that list. Tamera is such a beautiful person inside and out. I was a bit concerned when I saw that she would be joining the cast of women, because out of all of the ladies she is the most soft spoken. I was thinking to myself ‘hmm, I wonder if she’ll be able to get a word in’. When the first show aired, I was so proud of Tamera. She is so classy, and sweet. I admire the fact that she came out and was the same Tamera that we know and love, and she wasn’t trying to be anyone else. Tamera is a breath of fresh air! I really enjoy watching her and hearing her share her views on the topics. Thank you for keepin’ it Real!
Jeannie Mai! I adore her sooo much, she is fabulous. She is great when it comes to fashion segments. (I know that she does a hell of a lot more, she’s just always been my favorite personality/fashion expert when it comes to segments.) Her style is amazing, and it fits her perfectly. I have always seen her on various shows, but I didn’t know too much about her personally. She has such a great personality and I love watching her. I would take fashion advice and listen to tips that she has simply because in my opinion she is a combination of a frugalnista and a lover of designer labels. Everyone loves high-end designer clothes and shoes but not everyone can afford it. Jeannie is all about splurging on the necessities in a fashionista’s closet, and saving on things too. I’m the same way! SIDENOTE – Personally, my closet is a mix of designer and regular pieces. I can’t stand when bloggers make their whole blog about posting photos and information high-end designer things that they themselves don’t even have. It is safe to assume that most of the viewers of their blogs are regular people with regular pockets. It’s okay to admire expensive designer things, but there is another side of fashion that is still great and attainable. I wouldn’t center my whole blog around things that I don’t have and tell you, the viewers, that you are not fashionable unless you have this basically.. Anywho, back to Jeannie! She is a joy to watch. I was cracking up when I heard the voicemail that her mom left her on the show, hilarious. Jeannie’s stories about her hubby are very funny also. I knew she had to have black friends or something because she had so much .. flava lol it turns out that when she was growing up most of her friends were Spanish and black lmao. She’s so cute and relatable. I’m looking forward to seeing more of you Jeannie Mai! You’re our type of gal, Real!
Tamar Braxtonnnn. She is snatched, beat, and keeps it Real everyday on the show. Tamar is doing such an amazing job on the show. Her take on most of the stories/subjects are so funny. It’s so touching to see the sisterhood between Tamar and Tamera. I would have never paired these two women together, because they are so different but it’s great to watch them interact. They both just had babies and they look great. So they’re the mommas on the show. I realized earlier that Tamar is on three shows in total now, Braxton Family Values + Tamar and Vince and now The Real. Woo, you go girl! Thanks for Keepin it oh SO Real.
Loni Love is so funny. I mean, yes she’s a comedian lol but she’s funny when she’s not even trying. Loni also brings tons of wisdom. She is like that auntie that you go to get advice, and she always gives it to you ‘real’. She’s beautiful, inside and out. I love watching her, she is a great addition to the show. It’s cute how she babys Tamera. Loni’s stories about her past flings will have you rolling. Loni, thanks for always being Real!
Adrienne brings the Latin flavor to the show. Even though she has done a lot since 3LW, I have to mention that 3LW was the first girl group I was into when I was younger lol so I’m quite familiar with Adrienne. She is pretty! Her makeup is always flawless, (p.s. I liked the coral lipstick your sister said she didn’t like)! She brings a lot of energy to the show and has a great personality. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her. Thanks for for keeping it Real Adrienne!
I’m hooked on this show! I wish that it was longer than an hour lol. When 12: 50 rolls around I’m like ugh it’s over already :(? I’m so happy that these women are representing us in the best way possible and keeping it Real! Congratulations on the show ladies, and anyone who hasn’t tuned in yet is missing out.
