So, it wasn’t until the other day that I realized that I never shared my great news on here! In June I was accepted into a particular Fashion Design program at Parsons The New School For Design! I have also received a full scholarship!!! I could not pick my mouth up from off the floor after receiving the news and I am so grateful. I cannot thank Parsons enough and I am excited to better my craft. Classes start on August 25th!
Looking back, I really cannot believe that this all started with me attending that Lucky Magazine event back in May. I fell in love with the school and decided to go on a tour, I was sold after that and decided to try my luck and apply. Parsons is very hard to get into but thankfully I’m in! Little ‘ole me :). My blog has awarded me many opportunities, and I think that creating this platform was one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. It is crazy how things connect at the end of the day.
I hope to meet a lot of great people. Parsons has an amazing Alumni list which includes successful designers such as : Tom Ford, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, Isaac Mizrahi, Lela Rose, Anna Sui, Jason Qu, Zang Toi, Prabal Gurung, etc! Can you say wow?!
I had lunch at Parsons the other day after taking my photo for my ID and boy it was delish! My favorite cafe has to be Kerrey Hall, it’s very fancy lmao. We get actual plates and silverware in our cafe.. when will your cafe ever?!?! Lol!
As you all know, September and February are my busiest months as Fashion Week will soon be upon us. I am wondering how I will balance both for the short period but when it comes to Fashion I WILL make it happen!!
I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity, and I am excited to learn. 5 days until Xenia Amirah takes Parsons The New School! Wish me luck 🙂
