I am excited to announce that I will be starting my #bytejourney with Byte, an invisible aligner company.
In 2016 I closed the gap between my front teeth with ClearCorrect. While my experience with ClearCorrect was a good experience, I had an issue with my retainer that they created. It was all wrong, and it didn’t fit correctly. I expressed this to them and was provided no help. In the end, my teeth ended up shifting, and a small space between my front teeth reappeared. This was quite frustrating and totally changed my outlook on my experience with the company.
Fast forward to 2019, I am so excited to close the gap, and straighten out anything that shifted in my smile. My experience with Byte so far has been a very smooth one. The initial step was the impression process. You are sent an impression box with four trays, putty, and instructions. With this, you roll the putty to fit into the trays, it hardens quite quickly so watch the time — and then you place it in your mouth for a set time which makes an impression of your top and bottom teeth. You do this four times for two sets of impressions and then you mail the impression kit back to Byte.
You will hear back in a few days to know if you are a candidate or not. If you are, you can log in and they will send you your treatment information. It’s really cool because you can see a preview of how your teeth are going to look with every tray. This just gets you even more excited for your new and improved smile!
Another difference between my experience with Byte and ClearCorrect is that I had to continuously go to the dentist office to start and continue my treatment with ClearCorrect. However, with Byte, I don’t even have to leave my house!! I think this is amazing as I am a working girl now instead of the college student I was when I started ClearCorrect, and I don’t have time in my schedule to go to the dentist every two weeks. If you can relate, this option may be the best option for you!
If you choose Byte as your clear aligner company, you receive your impression kit in the mail which you just ship back to them to get the process started. You speak with their representatives as stated above to confirm that you are a candidate. Lastly, you then receive your aligners in the mail in a few weeks!! Along with your aligners, you also receive a device called the ‘Hyper Byte‘ which you have to use for five minutes every day and it cuts your treatment time in half. It literally is just a small vibrating object that you put against your teeth. No other clear aligner company has this! The last two additions to your kit — a case for your aligners and whitening foam from Byte!
Customer service with Byte is amazing, and you don’t feel like you’re going through the process alone as someone is always there to help you.
I will be sharing videos on Youtube (for the first time, so don’t judge me lol! I’m used to being behind the computer, not in front of the camera). I want to share every step of the way with this experience as I hope to end up with my ideal smile at the end.
