Hi Everyone! So I was so busy with school that I didn’t have the chance to speak about the great opportunity I had to volunteer for the F4D Annual First Ladies Luncheon! It was so much fun. I was assigned the job to be the gift bag overseer.. basically I had to guard those gift bags with my life, haha. Being left in a room with beautiful garments and over 200 gift bags, I didn’t mind at all lol.
I ended up meeting many people. One of the ladies that worked for the company ended up keeping me company in the room and I hung out with her for the rest of the event after the gift bags were taken down to the ballroom. We went backstage and I was able to get a look at the usual duties that always go on backstage — models everywhere, hair stylists working their magic and designers doing last minute checks.
Donna Karan was being honored and guess who got to touch and hold her medal? This girl! It was beautiful and I was really happy to be touching something that would eventually be given to her lol.
