Naomi Campbell sizzles at 43 in a body-baring black swimsuit on the cover of Shape magazine’s April 2014 issue. But looking sexy is just one part of this cover girl’s mission.
Campbell opens up about how quitting her smoking habit has been harder than she thought it would be. “People told me that cigarettes are harder to quit than alcohol,” Campbell, who also gave up drinking several years ago, told the mag. “I didn’t believe it, but you know what? It is harder,” she shared.
So how has she been steering clear of her vice? Most recently, Campbell has tried a nicotine patch to fight temptation.
“I’m not someone who wants to light up inside people’s homes, including my own, and I don’t want to stand outside on street corners anymore,” the world-famous supermodel said of her desire to quit.
“It’s still a struggle,” she continued. “In fact, just talking about it makes me crave one, so let’s stop, please! But I am really trying.”
Despite her personal battle, giving up smoking and drinking appear to have yielded amazing results for the British star. Campbell, who rose to fame in her teenage years as a member of the “Big 5” alongside Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Claudia Schiffer, looks hotter-than-ever on the cover wearing a black swimsuit embellished with gold zippers.
