Hi, all! While the holidays always bring a smile to my face, I’ll smiling extra hard from now all the way into 2016. I’m super excited to announce that I will be getting ClearCorrect!!! If you’re not familiar with ClearCorrect, I’m excited to be the first to introduce it to you! ClearCorrect is a clear aligner used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces.
ClearCorrect can be used to treat the following orthodontic conditions:
- Crowded teeth
- Spacing between teeth
- Overbites
- Underbites
- Crooked or turned (rotated) teeth
All my life I’ve been told that I have a beautiful smile but I’ve always been a little self-conscious about my smile because I wanted to remove the space between my front teeth. As I grew older I refused to wear adult braces. While there is nothing wrong with metal braces, being in the Fashion industry and being a blogger covering events it just wouldn’t be a great option for me. I’m already shy as it is so if I were to have metal braces I would definitely be a mute, lol!
Fast forward to now, I am super honored and excited to start my ClearCorrect Journey. I’m so happy that I could burst, lol! I will be blabbing all about my ClearCorrect journey here, on Fashion Xensation in video, as well as text. I just did my impressions on Wednesday so I will begin my ClearCorrect journey in January of 2016.
Impressions basically are when your dentist tries to get a mold of your teeth, so that they can send it to ClearCorrect to start the process of creating your aligners. It is all about getting the shape of your teeth, gums, etc. When the process is done, which takes 3 minutes, you will see a gum-like version of your mouth — aka an impression. Top and bottom, of course!
I will find out more about what I should expect, how long it is going to take, and how many trays I will need until my space in closed in the next visit. Patients either choose the 6 aligner option, 12 aligner option, or unlimited option. I have an unlimited aligner option, which is the opportunity to have as many aligners as I need to to complete my case (close my space). I will keep you posted.
I would love to introduce you to my wonderful dentist that will be working with me during this process —Carrie Giuliano. She is absolutely wonderful, and so is her dental assistant, Rosa. I am only about 6 blocks away from her office whenever I’m at school, which is super convenient. I absolutely love the dental office. It is professional, wonderfully decorated, and clean. The receptionist is always very kind and I am happy to start my ClearCorrect journey with Carrie as my dentist.
Stay tuned!
